The trip was nothing that I expected because this time I can truly say I went in with no expectations... And it was incredible.
I catch myself getting teary eyed whenever I think about it... We did everything from playing a simple game of Ninja to a moment during devotion where there was not a dry tear in the place. These girls taught me so much. Go to my facebook to see all the pictures...I may put up a page of just pics a little later.
Here is a little piece from my journal
"To be surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses...I lay in this open sun in complete awe of Gods redemptive power. Being abandoned by your own family, growing up in such an evil enviornment, cutting your hair to dressing like a boy just so you are left alone...then with out any preperation you are kicked out...and the world expects everything from you.
The Lord led these girls to Cory and Diana...they are such great parents and leaders to these young women. Slowly the Lord is healing and setting these young women free.
While we were there we all got the opportunity to lead a devotion...before we went left we sent what we thought the Lord wanted us to talk about. Mine was testimony. And I'm just now coming to grips what that means...
What are you testifying the Lord has done for you? What has God freed you from?
More thoughts on this later. Gotta go...Going to see Monte Carlo with the girls.
